Everybody loves a winner. People want to be with you. They want to be seen with you and known for knowing you. When you are on top, you will enjoy many offers from potential partners. However, it is quite different being an unknown entity just getting started.
I’m Thomas Baldrick. This tells the story of Rocky Point Direct, and why we are grateful for already having partners. But not just any partners, quality partners. Because whether we like it or not, the company we keep is a reflection on us. Right?
Our partners are well-known with us. Some are vetted, hand-picked companies. Others belong to friends or are supporting entities of ours. In any case, we invite you to trust them and try them. We think you will be happy with the results.
Mexinsurance: We have our Mexican insurance through them. If that still doesn’t tell you all you need to know on the subject, let’s explain why we chose them. Once we began managing condo rentals, guests kept asking for referrals on Mexican Insurance. Some shared bad experiences.
The pattern kept repeating itself. So, we began looking further into the issues and seeking answers. After many hours of research, many conversations in person or over the phone, we found our solution. It can easily be yours, too.
“It is WAY better to have Mexinsurance and not need them, then need them and not have them.”

Sonoran Resorts: We manage Sonoran Sun 510 East. It’s a condo at the Sonoran Sun Resort on Sandy Beach. Like Mexinsurance, saying this alone is a pretty strong endorsement.
What more could you want going to Rocky Point? The Sonoran Resorts feature 4 beachfront properties, unobstructed views of the Sea of Cortez, plus pools, restaurants, friendly staff members, parking, and 24-7 security.
Rocky Point Podcast: Even beautiful can become boring after a while. That’s how I began feeling about the drives through the Sonoran Desert to get to the beach. Adding to the experience, internet connectivity and even radio reception is quickly in your rearview mirror.
So, I went looking for a podcast about Rocky Point for listening and fighting the boredom. When I didn’t find one, I started one in 2019.
The Rocky Point Podcast features interesting episodes about people, places, and things in Puerto Peñasco. But speaking of listening, perhaps you heard about the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. That made spreading stories and experiences about Rocky Point rather challenging.
But in 2021, we are back producing new episodes for you to download before you drive. Then enjoy on the way to or from the place we all love. Many people also listen to podcasts while they are exercising or driving around in their daily lives.
We Love Puerto Peñasco – Rocky Point: Members of this private Facebook Group love belonging for what it has…and doesn’t have. It features posts for sharing information, photos, videos, and all things Puerto Peñasco.
Questions are welcomed by the community. Answers are given by others offering their opinions, experiences, and known referrals. And even better, it is done in an online safe house, free from shaming, name calling, and hate speech. Every woman, man, Mexican, American, or Canadian, is treated with kindness and respect.
However, unlike other Facebook groups, there is NO politics allowed. You won’t find yourself scrolling past mentions of Democrats or Republicans, arguing, ridiculing, or conspiracy theories.
Seeing the non-stop waves of dividing Americans reach even my favorite seaside resort in Mexico, I began thinking I had to act. Rocky Point was an escape destination. Now I was needing an escape on the way to my escape. So, rather than trying to shout over all the bickering, the group began quietly bringing people together in a more positive way.
By launching We Love Puerto Peñasco – Rocky Point in 2020, the hope was people would find this approach refreshing. Indeed they are, and as proof there’s new members joining every day. You can think of the group like enjoying a free membership connecting to your favorite beach. Only it is private, and protected by security and good-hearted, like-minded people of the community.
